Troop Weekend Adventure at Grimes Canoe Base

Our troop recently spent an incredible weekend on the river at Grimes Canoe Base, camping, August 28th and leaving on August 30th. With a fantastic turn-out of 18 Scouts and 6 adult leaders, everyone was ready for an action-packed outdoor trip.

The highlight of the weekend came on Saturday, when the Troop geared up and tackled the 7 mile paddle down the scenic Buffalo River. The trek was full of excitement and almost everyone managed to flip their canoe at least once! Beyond the splash landings, the Scouts demonstrated excellent teamwork, quick recovery skills, and high spirits throughout the trip while taking in the beautiful scenery.
